The Week Dedicated to Zviad Gamsakhurdia

The Week dedicated to Georgia’s first President Zviad Gamsakhurdia will be held at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University on April 8-12. The event will be opened at 3pm with an exhibition organized by the TSU Center of Modern History and MIA Archive. Zviad Gamsakhurdia’s photos, archival materials, manuscripts, books, translations, scientific papers will be displayed. The majority of exhibits will be originals. Among them are the 1956 Gorgasliani case files; letters (manuscripts) written by Gamsakhurdia in custody in 1977; Gamsakhurdia’s letters addressed to Victor Nozadze; dissident publications released in the seventies, etc. The majority of these materials will be displayed for the first time.
