Presentation of a Book “Right to Respect for Private and Family Life and State Obligations”

On November 3, at 5pm, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) will host a book presentation “Right to Respect for Private and Family Life and State Obligations/”
 
The book has been published by the International Law Institute of the TSU Faculty of Law. The book is co-authored by TSU Professor Konstantine Korkelia and law expert, Besarion Bokhashvili.
 
Judges of the Constitutional and Supreme Courts of Georgia, lawmakers, representatives of Georgian ministries, human rights watchdogs and academic circles will attend the event.
 
The book provides an overview of European standards related to private and family life; it thoroughly discusses state obligations concerning these rights and offers opinions how Georgian legislation and judicial practice can be improved.
 
The book has been published with the financial support of the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ) and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) to Georgia.
