Jansug Kakhidze Evening at TSU
Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University will host Jansug Kakhidze Evening on
April 26, at 6pm.
Exclusive video recordings depicting Kakhidze’s life and work, which were specifically created by his family members, will be screened at the evening. In the video, Jansug Kakhidze will himself tell students about his works.
During the event, Kakhidze’s songs will be performed by Eka Mamaladze and the Rustavi Ensemble with Vakhtang Kakhidze’s accompaniment.
Kakhidze’s family members, as well as invited guests will attend the evening. Valeri Asatiani, a visiting lecturer of Classical Philology, as well as the Georgian conductor’s friends will speak about Jansug Kakhidze’s creative work and life and answer questions from students.
Jansug Kakhidze Evening will be organized by the Department of Culture of TSU Student Self-Governance.
Admission will be free.
