Final Round of Autumn Legend 2016 Completed
Final round of student literary competition Autumn Legend organized by Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) has come to an end. 10 finalists participated in the improvisation round held at hotel complex Kvareli Edem and created new works on a topic offered by the jury.
Rector of TSU, Giorgi Sharvashidze attended the improvisation round. Students from TSU, Ilia State University, Free University, Caucasus University and Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgian State University were among the finalists. 10 finalists were selected out of 326 students participating in the first round.
The student literary competition August Legend – a joint project of the Tbilisi State University and the company Geocell – was held for the eighth time already in 2016. Students from Georgia’s accredited higher educational institutions were eligible to participate.
Three winners will receive pecuniary prizes: I place - GEL 1000 and competition symbol; II place – GEL 700 and III place – GEL 500.
This year the jury consists of six members: writers Guram Odisharia, Teona Dolenjashvili, Dato Turashvili, Maka Ldokonen, Diana Anpimiadi and last year’s winner, Ani Gigashvili.
Along with the main competition, all those willing to participate in the competition could join online marathon. With the help of Geocell’s application, the registered contestants created a new work on the topic offered to finalists. A marathon winner will be awarded a special prize from the company. The winner will be revealed in early December.
