At Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) reserach is conducted on the basis of seven faculties and 16 research institutes. During 2017, TSU obtained 102 research grants, including eight international grants.
The Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) has improved its position in Webometrics Ranking of World Universities and is also ranked 1st in the Caucasus region. According to the latest ranking, TSU moved up from a rank of 830 among nearly 24 000 world universities to a rank of 734.
