Assistant Professor of the Institute of Visual Arts at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU), Dr. Vladimer Asatiani has been awarded the Sandro Botticelli Prize.
On March 1, 2015 (Sandro Botticelli’s birthday) the Italian Association of Social and Cultural Publications in association with the Salvatore Russo and Francesco Saverio Russo Foundation awarded the Sandro Botticelli Prize to Vladimer Asatiani for the original stylistic search. Information about the prize awarding was published in Effetto Arte online magazine and its catalogue released under the aegis of the magazine and the association.
Last year Vladimer Asatiani was awarded the Premio de Marchi for his exhibition “The Illusion of Reality.” The exhibition was held at Galleria De Marchi (Bologna, Italy) in November-December and it was organized by Trevisan International Art. Paintings from the series “Sun Pieces” were published in the exhibition catalogue. Up to 100 artists from the entire world participated in the exhibition. One painting of each awarded artist was published in Art Magazine.
On May 2015 a prestigious international prize will be awarded to Vladimer Asatiani at Bramante Halls in Rome for his artistic talent and important artistic career. This prize is annually awarded to prominent representatives of art and cultural sphere.
