International Seminar/Workshop DIPED-2020

The International Seminar/Workshop on Direct and Inverse Problems of Electromagnetic and Acoustic Wave Theory (DIPED-2020) is being held at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University on September 15-18, 2020.
Along with Georgian scientists, famous scientists from Ukraine, Poland, the United States, China, Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria, India, Israel, Japan, South Korea and Russia are also participating in the conference. Accepted and presented papers are published in the conference proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases.
The workshop provides an opportunity to exchange scientific results and current research progress in the area of electromagnetics, electrodynamics, antennas and acoustics theory and applications.
The Seminar/Workshop is organized by both the IEEE MTT/ED/AP/CPMT/SSC West Ukraine Chapter and MTT/ED/AP/EMC Georgian Chapter in cooperation with Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Pidstryhach Institute of Applied Problems of Mechanics and Mathematics. Technical sponsors include the IEEE Electron Devices, Antenna and Propagation and Microwave Theory and Techniques Societies.
DIPED-2020 is partially sponsored by Office of Naval Research (ONR) Global (Award N62909-20-1-2065).
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, DIPED-2020 is being held at TSU using a new hybrid model, incorporating both online and face-to-face elements.
Rector of TSU, George Sharvashidze addressed the participants. He noted that for a small country like Georgia, which is located on the crossroad of Europe and Asia, the opportunity of having relations with international partners and benefiting by the world research potential is crucial.
Dean of the TSU Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences, Ramaz Khomeriki stressed the importance of the seminar for the field and wished participants successful and fruitful work.
