Journal ‘TSU Student Science’ Presentation

A presentation of a student scientific journal ‘TSU Student Science’ was held at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University on October 28. TSU Rector, Academician Vladimer Papava, students and academic staff attended the event.

TSU Rector Vladimer Papava said that “publishing a student scientific journal is very important. It will enable the students to get involved in scientific activities and introduce their research results to the readers. The journal gives an opportunity to the students not only to be involved in scientific activities, but also to make their research results available to a wide public. This is extremely important. We will be glad if our students further expand their activities in this direction.”

“We had been working over the student scientific journal during one semester. TSU student self-government is ready to support student initiatives, especially those that will promote the development of students’ academic level,” Sopio Chitadze, acting president of TSU student self-government, said.

“When the idea of creating a student scientific journal struck us, we applied to the student self-government; we underwent consultations with the professionals in this field. It should be noted that there are no restrictions on publishing articles in the journal and any BA or MA students can publish their own research materials in the journal,” Mari Otiashvili, editor-in-chief of the journal, said.

TSU Student Science is a scientific journal published by TSU students. It contains the articles prepared by TSU students from all faculties covering the most problematic and pressing issues. The faculty’s scientific council will review the articles prepared by TSU students.

The editorial board of the journal is composed of students. TSU Student Science is a periodical and will be released once a semester.
