Rector of the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU), Academician Vladimer Papava and State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Alexi Petriashvili signed the Memorandum of Cooperation between TSU and the Office of the State Minister.
The key goal of the memorandum is to boost cooperation between TSU and the Office of the State Minister to further deepen knowledge on European and Euro-Atlantic integration issues and promote students’ professional growth and development.
“European orientation and Euro-Atlantic integration is extremely important for our country. In this regard, the steps taken by the government, including this memorandum, are very important, because it will promote better involvement of our young people in the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration. This is a priority for our university and our country as well,” Rector Papava said.
State Minister Alexi Petriashvili said that the memorandum envisages active cooperation with the Tbilisi State University in terms of Georgia’s EU integration. “Young people can play a huge role in accelerating these processes. The memorandum will promote youth involvement in popularization of European integration as well as training of highly skilled staff to help the country gain its place in the European family, once and forever,” the State Minister said.
Later on the same day, certificates were handed over to the 2014 graduates of MA program in European studies.
