Ambassador of Israel to Georgia, Yuval Fuchs delivered a public lecture “Middle East, Political Challenges, Priorities and Perspectives” at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. TSU Rector, Academician Vladimer Papava, students, professors of Jewish Studies Department attended the event.
TSU Rector Vladimer Papava welcomed Ambassador Fuchs and noted that “similar visits by foreign ambassadors accredited in Georgia to TSU have already become a tradition. During these visits they present their own countries, their opinions about global and regional developments. The public lecture delivered by the Israeli Ambassador was extremely interesting, because he discussed the current situation in the Middle East, focused on problematic issues and spoke about Georgian-Israeli relations.”
“Israel and generally, the Middle East is an important region for the world, including for Georgia in view of several aspects. The revolutionary changes ongoing in the region have a huge influence on international situation,” Ambassador Fuchs said. At the end of the public lecture Ambassador Fuchs answered the questions asked by students and academic staff.
After the event TSU Rector Vladimer Papava and Israeli Ambassador Yuval Fuchs viewed the photo exhibition ‘From the Beginning’ by Israeli photographer, Shai Ginott displayed at the TSU Museum. Most of the photos are created using double exposure technique.
