Members of the EU-Georgia Parliamentary Association Committee met with students of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University on September 19. During a question and answer session, the guests mainly focused on EU-Georgia relations, implementation of the Association Agreement with the European Union, migration issues, etc.
Tamar Khulordava, chairperson of the Parliament’s Committee on European Integration, said that students’ opinions about Georgia’s European future are very important. “The European Parliament and the Georgian Parliament have very close cooperation, especially in the issues of Georgia’s European future. I am very glad that we had an opportunity to speak with students about our country’s European future, together with MEPs,” she noted.
MEP Clare Moody said that students had very good questions about Georgia’s European future and that the meeting was extremely interesting. “I hope that the students are satisfied with the answers,” she added.
The visit to TSU came after the 7th session of the EU-Georgia Parliamentary Association Committee. The committee members unanimously adopted the resolution reflecting important support to Georgia.
