Success of PhD Students from TSU

PhD students from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) are still leading in the state grant competition announced by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation to render financial support to PhD students.

A total of 40 winning projects were revealed in 2017 with 14 projects presented by PhD students from TSU.

238 applications were registered at Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation after the state grant competition was announced. 15 applications were removed from registration later. Out of remaining 223 projects, 40 were funded.

14 projects (35%) submitted by PhD students from TSU gained funding. 

Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation will finance studies for PhD students from TSU, as well as all necessary expenses for their doctoral research, internships abroad or visits and participation in conferences.
