TSU Holds Elections of Representative Council (Senate) Members

On June 12, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) held elections of the members of the Representative Council (Senate) to fill vacancies and elect new members instead of those, whose mandates have been terminated early.

a) TSU independent scientific research unit - Aleksandre Janelidze Institute of Geology – 1 member;

b) TSU independent scientific research unit - Andrea Razmadze Institute of Mathematics – 1 member;

c) TSU independent scientific research unit - Vakhushti Bagrationi Institute of Geography – 1 member;

d) TSU independent scientific research unit - Mikheil Nodia Institute of Geophysics – 1 member;

e) TSU independent scientific research unit - Petre Melikishvili Institute of Physics and Organic Chemistry – 1 member;

f) TSU independent scientific research unit - High Energy Physics Scientific Research Center – 1 member;

g) TSU Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences: academic staff – 1 member;

h) TSU Faculty of Law: student – 1 member;

i) TSU Faculty of Humanities: student – 1 member.

The following candidates underwent registration for the Senate membership elections:

1. Sophio Khutsishvili – TSU independent scientific research unit - Aleksandre Janelidze Institute of Geology;

2. Tamila Chaladze - TSU independent scientific research unit - Vakhushti Bagrationi Institute of Geography;

3. Manana Nikolaishvili - TSU independent scientific research unit - Mikheil Nodia Institute of Geophysics;

4. Marina Gurgenishvili - TSU independent scientific research unit - Petre Melikishvili Institute of Physics and Organic Chemistry;

5. Nodar Lomidze - TSU independent scientific research unit - High Energy Physics Scientific Research Center;

6. Ilia Tavkhelidze – TSU Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences;

7. Beka Dvalishvili – student of TSU Faculty of Humanities;

8. Sandro Maraneli – student of TSU Faculty of Law.
