TSU Sets Date of Student Self-Governance Elections

Elections of Student Self-Governance of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University will be held on November 25. TSU students will directly elect 140 delegates (20 delegates from each faculty). The rule of electing the members (delegates) of Student Self-Governance has been amended.

Registration of electoral subjects will take place at the Central Election Commission of Student Self-Governance (TSU Building I, auditorium No.211) from 10am to 6pm on November 14-18, 2016.

Those willing to undergo registration have to submit:

Individual applicants (independent candidates):
• Identification card and its copy;
• A certificate of studying at the faculty, where she/he plans to run;
• Signatures of 2 (two) percents of total number of students (voters) with active status from that faculty, where she/he plans to run (supporter registration document).   
 
Organization applicants (student organizations):
• Signatures of 30 (thirty) percents of total number of students (voters) with active status from that faculty, where they want their nominee to run;
• Updated extract from the Registry of Entrepreneurs and Non-entrepreneurial (Non-commercial) Legal Entities of the Justice Ministry’s National Agency of Public Registry; copy of statutes; in case of a coalition of student organizations – updated extract of each student organization united in the coalition from the Registry of Entrepreneurs and Non-entrepreneurial (Non-commercial) Legal Entities of the Justice Ministry’s National Agency of Public Registry and a copy of statutes.
