Event Invitation: The 80th Anniversary of the Birth of the famous German Kartvelologist Winfried Boeder.

Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University cordially invites you to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Birth of the famous German Kartvelologist, Honorary Doctor of the Faculty of Humanities of Tbilisi State University Winfried Boeder. The event will take place at 4 pm on April 3, 2017.   

 Winfried Boeder is a  famous German Kartvelologist, Honorary Doctor of the Faculty of Humanities of Tbilisi State University, Professor. Dr Boeder has been working for the promotion and popularization of Georgian studies worldwide. He is an author of several monographs such as: Purity of language in the history of Georgian (2003); Kaukasische Sprachprobleme (2003); The South Caucasian languages (2005); Der «Berg der Sprachen» - die Sprachvielfalt im Kaukasus in Der Kaukasus - Geschichte-Kultur-Politik. Verlag C.H. Beck, München (2010). 

The event will be hosted by the Rector of Tbilisi state university Giorgi Sharvasidze, Vice-Rector Mikheil Chkhenkeli. 

Invitations were sent to the representatives of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Georgia, wider public and students.
