FIRST CALL! First International Summer School on Generative Grammar in Tbilisi (syntax, semantics, morphology and their application to linguistic studies)

The summer school is a study program in linguistics led by a team of international scholars. The school offers seminars in the main subfields of generative grammar and a series of lectures on the application of grammatical approaches to other subfields of linguistics.

WEEK 1: 17-21 (FIVE DAYS, Monday-Friday)
Morning
Monday—Friday: Introduction to generative syntax (Léa Nash)
3 hours a day with a break of 20 minutes, morning session 
(Friday’s class will be 1.5 hours)
Afternoon
Thursday and Friday: Lexicon and formal typology (Daniel Harbour)
1.5 hours

WEEK 2: 24-28 (FIVE DAYS, Monday-Friday)
Morning
Monday—Friday: Generative syntax and formal typology (Maria Polinsky and Eric Potsdam) 1.5 hours
Monday—Friday: Introduction to formal semantics (Vincent Homer)
1.5 hours
Afternoon
Monday—Tuesday: Lexicon and formal typology (Daniel Harbour)
1.5 hours
Wednesday—Friday: Relative Clauses and Correlatives (Rajesh Bhatt & Léa Nash)
1.5 hours
Monday-Friday: Practicum: this practicum will include participation by students and teachers; there will also be several guest presentations (TBA).
