Open Day for Admission to Masters Program in Gender Studies

On May 29, at 6 pm, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and the Institute of Gender Studies at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University will hold an open day for admission to Master’s Program in Gender Studies for academic year 2017-2018.
 
The Master’s Program in Gender Studies is the first and the only graduate level program in this field throughout the Caucasus region. The program has been developed through close cooperation between the Women’s and Gender Studies Department at Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA; the Department of Gender Studies at Central European University, Budapest, Hungary and the Center for Social Sciences, Tbilisi, Georgia. Students of the Master’s Program in Gender Studies have a unique  opportunity to receive a graduate level training in social sciences meeting international standards; to study gender equality issues in social-economic and political contexts, as well as historical and modern aspects of women’s rights, feminist theories, etc. The length of study is 2 academic years. Language of instruction – Georgian.
