Album Presentation - Cultural Chronicles of the Democratic Republic of Georgia
On May 28, at 5 pm, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) will host a presentation of a bilingual (Georgian-English) album “Cultural Chronicles of the Democratic Republic of Georgia” as part of events marking the 100th anniversary of the Democratic Republic of Georgia.
The album covers a period between May 26, 1918 and March 18, 1921 – the period of Georgia’s occupation by Soviet Russia. The materials have been gathered from various periodicals of 1918-1921. The album provides the history of cultural life of the Democratic Republic of Georgia; chronology of developments and facts.
The album “Cultural Chronicles of the Democratic Republic of Georgia” has been prepared by Tbilisi State University with the financial support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
The materials used in the album are stored at the TSU Library, the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia, the Museum of Vano Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire and the Museum of Shota Rustaveli National Theatre.
