International Conference ‘The Theme of Medea in the Artistic Culture of the World’

An international conference on The Theme of Medea in the Artistic Culture of the World will be opened at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) on September 17, at 12 noon. The event will be dedicated to the 25th anniversary of establishing the diplomatic relations between Georgia and Greece, as well as the 20th anniversary of establishing the TSU Institute of Classical, Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies. Rector of TSU, Giorgi Sharvashidze, Minister of Education and Science, Aleksandre Jejelava, foreign diplomats, professors and students will attend the conference opening.

Photo and book exhibitions (Greek-Georgian diplomatic relations, books in Hellenism), photo exhibition Medea on Georgian Stage, exhibition Medea in Georgian Fine Arts will also be held on the sideline of the event.

The anniversary events will last till September 19.
