Tinatin Margalitadze, head of the Lexicographic Center at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, said: “It is important that this congress is planned in Georgia. This is a top academic event. Arrival of European lexicographers means that the foundation will be laid for enhancing our cooperation; new projects will be launched and the branch will be further popularized. I think that holding of such large-scale event in our country will significantly stimulate the development of lexicography.”

“This document is a formal consent that the International Congress of the European Association for Lexicography will be held at TSU. This is the 17th Congress and it will gather lexicographers from various countries. We have toured entire Europe and I think that holding of the congress in Georgia will be a good experience for its participants,” President of the European Association for Lexicography, Dr. Lars Trap-Jensen said.
