TSU Delegation’s Visit to Iran

A delegation from the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) led by Rector, Academician Vladimer Papava paid a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran from April 28 to May 1. The delegation visited the Academy of Persian Language and Literature, the University of Tehran and the Islamic Encyclopedia Foundation. 

During the visit a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation was signed between the University of Tehran and TSU. “A joint agreement on cooperation was signed during the meeting with the Rector of the University of Tehran that will enable our universities to implement exchange programs. Thus, our students will be able to obtain education in Iran, while the interested students from the University of Tehran will undergo studies at TSU. Simultaneously, it will be possible to conduct joint research, including on those sources, which are equally interesting for Georgian scholars in Iran and Iranian scholars in Georgia,” TSU Rector, Academician Vladimer Papava said.
