International Conference on Medical Law

On July 22, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) hosted an International Conference on Medical Law. The conference was held upon the initiative of Ketevan Mchedlishvili-Hedrich, visiting lecturer at TSU and Friedrich Schiller University Jena, and it was organized by the TSU Department of Criminal Law. The conference was jointly held by TSU and the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg with the financial support of IRZ.

Vice Rectors of TSU, Nino Gvenetadze and Nino Okribelashvili attended the conference opening. Famous German and Georgian lawyers presented their papers.

The current issues of medical law were discussed in the context of criminal law; papers were presented on the problems of medical law in the context of civil law and human rights.
