Public Lecture by Keti Antelava

On May 10, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University hosted a public lecture by Keti Antelava, PhD in American studies, titled “May also designated as Womens History Month. 100 Years of Struggle for Women’s Rights: from Elizabeth Cady Stanton to Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney.”

Keti Antelava spoke about American women fighting for civil rights and social equality.

“Traditionally, March is designated in the United States as Women’s History Month and it is dedicated to commemorating ordinary or famous, modern or historical figures, analyzing and popularizing their activities. Actually, one month is not enough for talking about women’s problems and achievements and we should use all months for that,” Keti Antelava noted.
