Exhibition of Competition Works for a Memorial Commemorating the University Students Who Died for Freedom of Georgia in 1921
Competition works for a memorial commemorating the university students who died for freedom of Georgia in 1921 have been exhibited at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU).
TSU announced a competition to create the memorial in 2013.
The first session of the competition commission was held on January 21. Out of nine competition works, seven were selected for the next stage. The sketches for the memorial are exhibited in the Maro Makashvili Hall of the TSU Library. The exhibition is open to the public until February 3, 2014.
The winning memorial will be placed in the courtyard of TSU Building I.
