TSU, Emergency Medical Service Center Sign Memorandum of Cooperation
The Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) and the Emergency Medical Service Center signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on May 22. The memorandum was signed by TSU Rector, Academician Vladimer Papava and Director of Tbilisi Emergency Medical Service Center, Teimuraz Barkalaia.
TSU Rector Vladimer Papava said: “The memorandum opens up new opportunities to our students for their practical training and development of knowledge. A student cannot become a qualified doctor without direct contacts with patients. I hope that our cooperation will be fruitful.”
“Signing of the memorandum between TSU and Tbilisi Emergency Medical Service Center is important, because new generation of medical workers will learn how to treat patients and render first aid,” Teimuraz Barkalaia said.
The memorandum aims to train highly skilled staff in the field of medicine through planning joint measures, as well as to help students acquire professional knowledge and necessary practical skills. Proceeding from the needs and goals of the center, the university will organize exams, attestation and other events.
In frames of the memorandum, students will be able to undergo a practical course at the Emergency Medical Service Center, to receive additional information with the help of the training center that will help them deepen their knowledge.
