Bakuriani Winter School on Traumatism

The Winter School on Traumatism took place in Bakuriani from February 28 to March 3. The event was organized by the Faculty of Medicine of the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, EMSA TSU, TSU Student Self-Governance and Georgian Medical Association. 17 students from the Faculty of Medicine participated in the winter school. They submitted their works to the jury.

President of the Georgian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology, Levan Nachkebia delivered a seminar on the persisting problems of traumatism.   
A roundtable was also held on the sideline of the winter school to discuss the stages and perspectives of the development of orthopedics and traumatology. Both the students and the jury members were actively involved in the discussion.

The students participating in the Bakuriani Winter School will receive special certificates. The project was financed by the TSU Faculty of Medicine.

The members of the jury were: Chairman of the Georgian Medical Association, TSU Professor Gia Lobzhanidze; Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Assistant Professor Tamar Rukhadze; Secretary General of the Georgian Medical Association and Senior Specialist of the Service for Scientific Research and Development at the Faculty of Medicine Zaza Khachiperadze; and President of the Georgian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology, Levan Nachkebia.
