Spring School Opening Ceremony at TSU

A ceremony of opening a spring school Leader was held at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) on March 13. TSU Rector, Academician Vladimer Papava; Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri; Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Protection, Elguja Khokrishvili; representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia; Lithuanian Ambassador to Georgia, Jonas Paslauskas; Estonian Ambassador to Georgia, Priit Turk; Israeli Ambassador to Georgia, Yuval Fuchs, famous businessmen and representatives of the International Monetary Fund attended the event.

TSU Rector, Vladimer Papava said: “The spring school will be interesting and result-oriented for the university students. They will have an excellent opportunity to listen to the lectures delivered by successful businessmen, ambassadors, representatives of Georgian executive authorities, to ask questions and receive competent answers.”
Georgian Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri welcomed the spring school students: “I am glad that an active student life is underway at TSU. Not only the students are attending lectures, but they are also preparing for leadership in order to make their own country successful in future.”

Foreign diplomats accredited in Georgia, as well as business people also welcomed the students and spoke about future meetings.

Head of the TSU Center for Analysis and Forecasting, PhD student, Vakhtang Charaia spoke about the project goals. He said that the project Leader “aims at selecting 30 best students and holding seminars for them to develop their entrepreneurial skills, professional knowledge, analytical thinking and civic responsibility. Seminars will be held by the representatives of executive and legislative authorities, foreign diplomats accredited in Georgia and successful businessmen, as well as executives from local and international organizations.”

The project will provide awards for the most successful students to travel to professional conferences, as well as monetary prizes and symbolic gifts. All project participants will receive various types of certificates.
