Student Conference in Gender Studies

The TSU Institute of Gender Studies is pleased to invite you to attend the 3rd annual student academic conference in gender studies. Students of TSU and other higher educational institutions are eligible to participate. The conference will be held on May 24.

The goal of this research conference is to encourage and support student studies as well as to promote academic discussions among students in gender studies. This year’s conference will enable students to present their works on the following issues of women’s rights and gender equality:

·  Public perception of gender equality– public opinion poll
·  Gender in popular culture and media
·  Law and reality – de facto and de jure state of women’s rights in Georgia
·  Struggle for women’s rights – history and present
