International Conference ‘Renaissance Humanism’

The Institute of Philosophy at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University will host an international conference “Renaissance Humanism” on December 12-13, 2013. The conference is dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Shalva Nutsubidze, one of the founders of TSU, prominent Georgian philosopher, translator and public figure.

The conference embraces all fields of medieval philosophy; theology, also medieval, religious and cultural studies, anthropology, philology, history, education, arts, literature, etc.  

The aim of the conference is to:
  • Support the development of scientific-academic values and knowledge;
  • Provide scientific and educational activities in the fields of philosophy, medieval, religious and cultural studies, anthropology, philology, history, education,  arts, literature, etc. on a professional level;
  • Coordinate the activities of Georgian scientists interested in the problem and boost their contacts with foreign partners.

Candidates should present:
Electronic versions of their papers, which should include:
  • Title and personal information: name of the author, academic title, phone number, e-mail.
  • Text of the presentation (10-12 pages, format- A4, font-Times New Roman, font size- 12, line spacing- 1, 15)
  • Extended summary in English (3 pages, A4 format, font – AcadNuskhuri, font size – 12, spacing 1). 

Please, indicate if any presentation equipment is needed.
