Success of TSU Law Faculty Students

The Training Center of Justice of Georgia, in partnership with the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, the Interagency Council on Combating Trafficking in Persons and the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), with the financial support of the Delegation of the European Union to Georgia, has implemented a project “Giorgi Margiani Moot Court Competition on Trafficking in Persons” within the framework of the uniform information campaign on combating trafficking in persons.   

About 30 teams from various universities participated in the competition with eight of them moving to the oral round. The team winning the quarter final defeated the team from Akaki Tsereteli State University; as well as the team from Free University – in the semifinal. The teams from TSU and Akaki Tsereteli State University met each other in the final. The team of the TSU Faculty of Law, including students Vakhtang Nogaideli, Ana Omanadze, Mariam Kharebashvili, Mariam Tsulaia and Tsotne Kilanava won the competition. The TSU team was mentored by TSU PhD student and invited lecturer, Aleksandre Iashvili.
