French-Georgian Joint Projects at TSU
Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) and the University of Bordeaux will implement a number of joint projects in neuroscience, mathematical analysis, archaeology, wine tourism, public health and other fields. The perspectives of French-Georgian university collaboration were discussed at a meeting between Rector of TSU, George Sharvashidze and Vice President of the University of Bordeaux, Stéphanie Debette on October 2.
“We had an interesting meeting with the Vice President of the University of Bordeaux, one of the most successful young scientists in the field of neurology. We discussed a lot of issues and agreed on future relations in several fields, including artificial intelligence, neurology, public health, etc. We agreed to implement joint projects in future and submit them to European grant competitions. We hope that the University of Bordeaux will join the French-Georgian initiative, under which Georgian universities are hosting a number of universities and programs,” George Sharvashidze said.
Stéphanie Debette said that she was glad to have an opportunity to implement important projects jointly with TSU. “We have just discussed those potential directions, in which the University of Bordeaux and TSU will collaborate in future,” she noted.
