TSU Participates in European University Association Meeting

The first meeting of European University Association’s thematic group “Meeting the Skills and Employability Demands” was held in an online format amid recent developments worldwide. Tbilisi State University participated in the meeting along with other European universities.
During a year, representatives of European Universities will exchange experience and develop recommendations that will help higher educational institutions raise the quality of curricular, teaching and learning. The thematic group focuses on defining the skills in educational programs necessary for successful employment of students and alumni, their integration into curricular and active collaboration between universities and industries.
The European University Association plays one of the most important roles in the Bologna Process, as well as in formation of European higher education policy. Each year the European University Association selects the universities to participate in the thematic group and discuss current and problematic issues of higher education, as well as to work and develop recommendations for other higher educational institutions. The recommendations developed by thematic groups are public and their goal is to share experience with other universities and help them define internal policies.
TSU has successfully completed its work with EUA’s first thematic group on student assessment issues and prepared a special report.
