First Georgian University in QS World University Rankings 2021

This year’s QS World University Rankings reveals the top 1,000 universities from around the world, covering 80 different locations. TSU is ranked 601-650 among best 1,000 universities.
Universities continue to be evaluated according to the following six metrics: academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio and international student ratio. Thus, rankings include the assessment of learning/teaching process, research, internationalization and reputation.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology continues its record-breaking streak at number one, followed by Stanford University and Harvard University. University of Oxford comes at the 5th position.
In previous years, Tbilisi State University participated in regional rankings - QS University Rankings: Emerging Europe and Central Asia and was ranked 106th and 86th in 2019 and 2020, respectively.
