TSU Labs

On March 16, Rector of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU), Giorgi Sharvashidze visited the labs located in the 10th and 11th buildings of TSU; he met with students and professors of the Faculty of Economics and Business and the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences.

The Bloomberg International Research Lab helps TSU students and professors to engage in the international market research and management, to study market trends, characteristics, to prepare specialists based on the real skills for dealing, investment, bank, financial and insurance corporations.

Rector of TSU, Giorgi Sharvashidze said that “the Bloomberg Lab is the only laboratory in the region and it is open for the students of other universities as well. The Lab helps students acquire good skills that will help them in their future employment and doing business. Over 180 young people have already used the FabLab. I hope that number of startups will further increase. The FabLab door is open. All interested students can familiarize themselves with modern technologies and start their own businesses.”

During his visit to the FabLab, Rector Sharvashidze talked to the participants of student projects. The FabLab aims to support inventors, innovators and young entrepreneurs, as well as to unite enthusiasts that will promote and stimulate economic growth in the country.  “The FabLab is a very good space for us to realize our ideas. It offers us very good equipment and enables us to realize our ideas, such as, for example, Mata Woods. This is our first startup, which proved quite successful,” Luka Tsertsvadze, student of the TSU Faculty of Economics and Business, said.
