TSU, Center of Experimental Biomedicine Sign Memorandum of Cooperation

Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Ivane Beritashvili Center of Experimental Biomedicine signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on March 19. According to the Memorandum, the parties will promote the development of life sciences in the format of multilateral cooperation. The Memorandum was signed by Rector of TSU, Giorgi Sharvashidze and Director of the Center of Experimental Biomedicine, Davit Nadareishvili.

Rector Giorgi Sharvashidze said that the Memorandum of Cooperation envisages consolidation of intellectual forces and implementation of joint educational programs. “We will establish cooperation in diverse spheres; we will conduct joint research and the developed structures like TSU and the Center of Biomedicine will promote it. Our cooperation will be interesting for both students and scientists,” Rector Sharvashidze said.

Director of the Center of Experimental Biomedicine, Davit Nadareishvili stressed the importance of such format of cooperation, where research, learning and teaching are inseparable processes. “Our Center and the Tbilisi State University are the first entities that will cooperate in this format. It is extremely valuable and important to look for the ways of interaction. Let me thank TSU for its support,” Nadareishvili said.

Under the Memorandum, the parties commit themselves to implement large scale scientific research and grant projects; to promote the development of traditional, as well as new and modern interdisciplinary fields and subfields and to present the results internationally; to hold joint academic conferences; to jointly prepare academic papers for publishing them in highly ranked journals.
