TSU, University Clinic Sign Memorandum of Cooperation
Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Gudushauri National Medical Center signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on February 20. The Memorandum was signed by Rector of TSU, Giorgi Sharvashidze, Head of TSU Administration, Nunu Ovsyannikova and Director General of the University Clinic, Ioseb Bregvadze.
Rector Giorgi Sharvashidze said that students of the Faculty of Medicine will undergo internships at the University Clinic and will be involved in all the activities needed for future doctors. “It is a very good opportunity for them to have employment perspectives in future and to add practical component to the learning process. It is a huge step ahead for the both sides,” he said.
“It is very important that our Alma Mater and Gudushauri Clinic joined their efforts to achieve serious goals. I can hardly name the sphere, where such interaction of theory and practice is needed as much as in the sphere of medicine. I hope that our enthusiasm will be fruitful,” Director General of the University Clinic, Ioseb Bregvadze said.
Under the Memorandum, the University Clinic will help TSU medical students and residents undergo relevant courses. The personnel of the University Clinic, its medical equipment and all necessary resources will be involved as well.
